1. Information We Collect

When you use Magnis Law, we collect information you provide directly, including your name, email address, and Google account profile information when you sign in with Google OAuth. We also collect data you upload or enter into the platform, such as client records, case details, documents, and files.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Magnis Law platform
  • Authenticate your identity and manage your account
  • Store and organize your legal documents and case files
  • Upload files to your connected Google Drive on your behalf
  • Send you service-related notifications
  • Respond to your requests and support inquiries

3. Google Drive Integration

Magnis Law requests access to your Google Drive using the drive.file scope, which limits our access to only files created by Magnis Law. We cannot read, modify, or delete any other files in your Google Drive. Files you upload through Magnis Law are stored in a dedicated "Magnis Law Drive" folder in your Google Drive account.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your account information is stored in a secure MongoDB database. We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit (TLS/SSL) and follow security best practices to protect your information. OAuth tokens are stored securely and used only to perform authorized actions on your behalf.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share information only in the following circumstances:

  • With your consent or at your direction
  • With team members you have explicitly invited to your workspace
  • To comply with legal obligations or respond to lawful requests
  • To protect the rights, property, or safety of Magnis Law and its users

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with our services. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.

7. Cookies and Tracking

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We store your theme preference in local storage. We do not use third-party tracking or advertising cookies.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Revoke Google Drive access at any time through your Google Account settings
  • Export your data
